Two wine cultures. Four courses. One table.

The first chapter of Bar Vino’s Italia × Australia: A Wine Series turns its attention to white wine.

For one evening, we’ll bring together a considered selection of exceptional Italian and Australian wines, drawn from Bar Vino’s extensive cellar and curated by sommelier Kim Townsend. Poured side by side, each wine will be paired with a four-course menu from the Bar Vino kitchen.

From sparkling wine and Riesling through to Chardonnay and a final sweet pairing, each pour offers a chance to experience how grape variety, place and winemaking shape what arrives in the glass.

This isn’t Italy versus Australia. There are no winners to choose.

Instead, it’s an opportunity to taste, compare and discover, guided by Kim and the Bar Vino team in a relaxed setting, with classic Italian dishes made using exceptional Australian produce.

Whether you know your way around a wine list or simply enjoy discovering a great bottle, everyone is welcome at the table.
